Should the Computing curriculum be ditched?

This is a serious question. What is the point of teaching kids computer programming, when AI can do all the hard work? We would all be much better off if we had programme of study with AI at the centre. At some point in the near future, Teach Secondary will be publishing my review of a book called AI Snake Oil: What Artificial Intelligence Can Do, What It Can't, and How to Tell the Difference. That sort of thing, plus learning how to write really good prompts, strikes me as a lot more useful than anything on the Computing curriculum, except perhaps the e-safety aspects.
