Today, 5 October, is World Teachers’ Day. The theme this year is Teachers: Leading in crisis, reimagining the future. Very apposite, considering Covid-19.
There are events going on all week, and a link to the agenda is on the WTD main page. One thing to note: the times are for Paris, which is GMT + 2 hours. If you need to do some other calculation for your time zone, use the World Clock.
I’m a little reluctant to draw your attention to this, but the website also includes a link to a toolkit for school leaders. My hesitation arises from the thought that school leaders probably have enough to read already. However, if one or two aspects of managing a school or return to school are proving difficult to deal with, the toolkit might help.
Whatever the case, it’s worth having a good rummage around the website to explore what’s there. As it’s a UNESCO website it has a truly international feel. I always think it’s interesting to find out what other countries are doing.
