A short while ago I published a blog post about the forthcoming ResearchEd Tech conference. What I hadn't realised is that, without human intervention, this new platform automatically generates a url.
Sounds great, doesn't it? Unfortunately though, unlike the old platform the url thus generated is a string of random characters, that only a latter day Memory Man would be able to recall.
I have now worked out what to do about it, and I have republished that article with the much more user-friendly url of http://www.ictineducation.org/home-page/2015/10/11/researched-tech-conference
I suppose I should have read the manual beforehand, like I advise others to do, but as Oscar Wilde said, good advice is for passing on to others: it is never any good for oneself.
Ho hum.
I expect there to be these occasional glitches while I get used to this new way of doing things. Humble apologies. But I hope you agree that the new version of the ICT & Computing in Education website looks better than the old one. It's mobile-friendly, and it passes Google's mobile-friendly test with flying colours.
Woo hoo!
Thanks again for your patience.
