UB Tech
What do you think will be the main things we'll be seeing in ed tech in 2018?
Ed Tech is evolving in two ways. First we will see more capable artificial intelligence. Education systems will incorporate data analyitcs to personalize education, perhaps using robots or avatars that can adapt to the personalized learning needs of students. And second, ed tech products will become more intuitive and interactive, allowing for hands-on learning across the curriculum. Students are interested in whole solutions, rather than isolated and abstract concepts. They are interactive, and have short attention spans. Ed Tech needs to enable students to discover answers, in their own way, to questions that are relevant in their their own lives.
What do you think will be the main ed tech challenges in 2018?
Effective data analyitics requires having large amounts of data. Collecting, storing and analyzing data on individuals, especially children, must have adequate security and privacy protections. This will require simultaneous development of technology and public policy.
