Comments about predicting the future

It's inevitable really: as one year ends and another begins, people start making all sorts of predictions. As someone once said, we can predict everything except the future. Nevertheless, I was persuaded to venture a few predictions myself in an article for Sec-Ed entitled Bett 2018: What are the ed tech trends awaiting us in 2018? and, more specifically, in an article about robots and artificial intelligence for Teach Secondary entitled Robots Aren’t Replacing Teachers, But The Rise Of Artificial Intelligence Could Make Our Lives Easier And Improve Education.

However, I thought it would be interesting to garner the views of some of the companies that are exhibiting at Bett in 2018. After all, they're the ones who have to make accurate predictions because, ultimately, their survival depends on it. The questions I asked them were:

  • What do you think will be the main things we'll be seeing in ed tech in 2018?
  • What do you think will be the main ed tech challenges in 2018?

I hope you enjoy reading their responses, which I have reproduced here as they were given to me, apart from some minor edits here and there. Also, I've added their stand number in case you would like to visit them during Bett, and their website should that not be possible.
