Quick look: Organise Ideas (follow-up)
This is a follow-up to my earlier “quick look” at this book.
A veritable cornucopia of graphic organisers, aka word diagrams, that can be used in education. It contains contributions from over fifty teachers, and much detail on why, what, how, who and when. Different, succinct, it will suit those teachers looking for more visually appealing ways of organising and presenting data to students.
This kind of book suits me. In my first year of teaching Economics I discovered a book that covered the whole Economics curriculum in charts. In my second year, I found a cartoon illustrated textbook I liked a lot. And, just as with many of my blog posts these days, my own handouts and lesson summaries were festooned with drawings, diagrams and arrows.
I’ve submitted a longer review to Teach Secondary magazine, and I will be republishing that here.
