Quick look: Hitler's People

Yes, I know that this has nothing (ostensibly at least) to do with ICT or Computing, but I thought it might be an interesting book in general, and for history teachers in particular. It’s organised into several sections, including the instigator (Hitler, of course), and the people below him who organised it or enabled it to happen.

I found it interesting to learn that when Hitler was defending himself in court following his arrest for the failed Munich putsch, he declared that he will be judged by history. It reminded me of all those people who talk about being on the right side of history. I’ve no idea how they could possibly know how people in the future will think, but I wonder how they might feel if they realised that Hitler expressed similar sentiments about himself.

Anyway, I shall be reviewing this book for Teach Secondary magazine, and will publish that review here in due course.
