Ada Lovelace Day Competition
As you may be aware, next Tuesday (13th October) is Ada Lovelace Day. In my next newsletter I’ll be announcing details of a competition whereby three lucky readers can win a copy of The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage, by Sydney Padua. I reviewed it here:
Review of The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage
I thought it would be nice to include contributions from readers for that edition — or their students. So, are you doing anything special for Ada Lovelace Day that you’d like to share with other readers? If so, how did it go? What would you do differently next time? Or do you or any of your students have a view on how to get more girls interested in technology-related subjects or careers?
If you wish to submit a contribution by a student, I will just need his or her first name and age, plus the country you live in. That is all I will publish.
I should also say that I can’t guarantee to use your or your students’ contributions. There’s some information about the zine and also contributors’ guidelines here:
I do hope you’ll be tempted to submit something, or encourage one or two students to do so.
