Education technology specialist ICT Direct is merging with sister company 1st Technologies to enable it to offer keener pricing and a wider product range to schools throughout the UK.
Established in 2006, ICT Direct supply hundreds of schools across the UK with high quality refurbished computer equipment, saving schools thousands of pounds on computers, servers, tablets and storage solutions. ICT Direct works in close partnership with ICT Managers and Head Teachers enabling them to make the best choices for their schools and invest in the most suitable equipment to meet their ICT objectives, both short and long-term.
John Graham who heads up ICT Direct said, “The team at ICT Direct that currently works with schools will remain the same. We will continue delivering the personal, friendly and professional service we’ve done for years. The big difference is that we will have access to more computer products allowing us to be even more competitively priced, plus have very robust and efficient systems in place to manage the process.“
With forty staff and three warehouses ICT Direct really believe they can make an even bigger impact on schools. John continued, “We’ve built strong relationships with many schools and have become their trusted partner on ICT solutions and we want to expand this service to more schools throughout the UK. Some schools that aren’t aware of our service are still paying huge amounts for their ICT equipment, and that just isn’t necessary. We can provide them with reliable computer equipment that will meet their requirements and save them a fortune, leaving them to invest their remaining budget elsewhere.”
ICT Direct were exhibiting at the BETT show in London where they demonstrated a range of their products including networked computers, storage solutions and the innovative Project Touch, a multi-touch table built in-house using ICT Direct’s refurbished equipment to show just how robust and reliable all their kits is. This equipment will again be on the ICT Direct stand at the Education Innovation Conference at Manchester Central on 27th and 28th February.
As members of BESA and the Microsoft Refurbisher Programme, ICT Direct also offer schools the peace of mind that is so important when making an investment.
