Shining Eyes
It’s said that the difference between secondary school and primary school is that in secondary school the teachers teach subjects and in primary schools they teach children. There’s probably some truth in that, but I always found that you need both really: a passion for teaching your subject, which in my case is ICT or educational technology, and a passion for teaching and interacting with people.
For me, this video sums it up nicely, even though it isn’t about technology. The principles, and the sentiment, are the same. The best teaching moments for me were when the penny dropped for a student. How did I know? Because they had shining eyes.
